Description
HPL screws are specially designed for mounting HPL and Trespa® panels. The HPL screws are made of stainless steel and have an epoxy screw head. This is a special coating that makes the screw corrosion-proof, UV-resistant and scratch-proof. The colour of the screw head matches the colour of the HPL panels. HPL screws for mounting HPL and Trespa® panels
For the very best end result, choose our stainless steel Torx HPL screws, the same RAL colour as your HPL or Trespa® panels. We supply very high-quality stainless steel screws with a diameter of 4.8 millimetres. As standard, these screws are 38 mm long, but many colours are also available in 25 mm. So you have the right screw for every situation and surface. Our screws have a convex head with a wide and flat installation surface. This presses the board well around the drilled hole without damaging or deforming the top layer.
Assembly
When tightening HPL screws, take care to turn the screw a maximum of a quarter turn once the head touches the board. This gives the screw sufficient contact pressure to hold the board firmly in place and prevents damage. For correct mounting, it is important to have a good mounting plan in advance. Then, based on this mounting plan, you drill the holes in the plate. The diameter of the screw holes is 8 millimetres, which allows the board to expand under the screw head. This is also why HPL screws should not be over-tightened. As a rule of thumb, Unaplex uses 15 screws per square metre, placing the screws evenly along the edges. Drill the screw holes between 20 and 60 millimetres from the edge of the board.
