Glass-filled PVDF is a flame-retardant, self-extinguishing plastic with high density and excellent strength. It inherently has minimal impact resistance at low temperatures.
PVDF rods are more durable compared to PTFE, despite a higher coefficient of friction. The main difference with other fluoropolymers is that it combines that PVDF rods have good mechanical, thermal and electrical properties when exposed to chemicals.
Like other fluoropolymers, glass-filled PVDF- stretching to hydrolysis with very low ("zero") moisture absorption. PVDF rods can be Welded with special welding rods (postings) and PVDF, as opposed to PTFE.
