Description
are probably the most chemically resistant thermoplastics known in the world today, resistant to -30 °С +150 °С , which have reasonably good dimensional stability and good tribological properties. Glass-filled PVDF is a flame-retardant, self-extinguishing plastic with high density and excellent strength. It inherently has minimal impact resistance at low temperatures.
PVDF rods are more durable compared to PTFE, despite a higher coefficient of friction. The main difference with other fluoropolymers is that it combines that PVDF rods have good mechanical, thermal and electrical properties when exposed to chemicals.
Like other fluoropolymers, glass-filled PVDF stretches to hydrolysis with very low ("zero") moisture absorption. PVDF bars can be welded with special welding rods (postings) and PVDF, unlike PTFE.
