Polycarbonate Opal is a plastic sheet mainly used for light boxes. The alternative to this sheet is Plexiglas Opal. The choice lies in the properties of the sheet. This is because Polycarbonate is more flexible than Plexiglas and can, for example, be bent cold. Polycarbonate is also much tougher and stronger and practically unbreakable. Choosing Polycarbonate therefore has everything to do with the application. If the sheet is used intensively or there is a risk of vandalism, Polycarbonate opal is the better choice. We therefore often see these sheets in light boxes.
Properties
Opal Polycarbonate has a milky white appearance, which is why it is also called milk glass. This material lets light through but you cannot see through it. In addition, Opal Polycarbonate is easy to work with and can withstand exceptionally low and high temperatures (range from -40°C to +135°C). About features of this material are:
