Opal matt acrylic sheet (also known as Opal acrylic) is an elegant material properties that makes it useful in a number of situations.

This material has the same advantages as ordinary Plexiglas (as mentioned above), but with the overall effect being an opaque or white appearance.
Opal is a semi-translucent material that allows a light transmission of approximately 70%. Great for creating opaque effects for light boxes and for backlighting without showing the details.
