Acrylic is as clear as glass but 25 times stronger. This makes the material very suitable for many different glazing purposes where glass shards are not desired. For example, it is ideal as balustrade, balcony partitions, fall-through protection and front windows. View our solid sheets below.
Acrylic is available in various colours, thicknesses and designs. The solid sheets are easy to process; sawing, milling, polishing, gluing, bending and drilling are all no problem. The solid sheets are recyclable, durable and UV-resistant, so no discolouration.

What are the differences between Acrylic XT and Acrylic GS
As already mentioned above, the GS plexiglass variant a cast plate that cures in glass. The XT sheet is pressed out of a mouth by an extruder into a plate. An important difference between the two variants is that the cast sheet is slightly harder. The plexiglass is therefore more scratch-resistant.
Electrical properties of clear acrylic sheet
The moisture absorption makes the material less suitable for insulation purposes. The high electrical surface resistance (10.15 Ohm) has the disadvantage that the boards are often highly statically charged.
Food and chemical resistance
Most inorganic substances do not affect Acrylate. The material is non-toxic and may therefore come into contact with food without restriction.
