Description
Product description HPL Degreaser
Seal-it® 510 CLEANER (can 1000 ml) is a non-aggressive and effective cleaning agent, for degreasing various substrates, especially developed to improve the adhesion of glues, sealants, paints, coatings and lacquers. HPL Degreaser is not harmful to the surface of e.g. HPL sheets.
Applications
- Specially developed for degreasing and cleaning hard and smooth substrates, such as glass, hard plastics, PVC, Acrylic, metals, ceramics, aluminium, concrete, stone, composite and painted substrates.
- As a pre-treatment agent for greasy substrates, on which sealants, adhesives and/or paints are to be applied, in order to create a grease-free substrate and optimum adhesion.
- As a degreasing and cleaning agent, to remove grease traces and light surface contaminants on sealant joints, leaving a clean sealant joint, from an aesthetic and technical point of view. (paintability)
- Remove adhesive remnants from stickers, tape, foil and spacer blocks.
- Clean brushes and other tools.
- Remove oil, grease and lubrication residues.
- Remove rubber residues.
- Remove uncured sealant, glue, PU foam, paint, varnish and stain.
Properties
- Significantly improves the adhesion of sealants, adhesives, paint and varnish systems (powder coatings).
- Degreases and cleans non-porous substrates very thoroughly.
- Fast and effective.
- Easy to apply and rub out.
- Low-odour, practically odourless.
- Slightly evaporating and flammable.
- Does not leave traces or residues on the treated surface.
- UN approved packaging.
Application conditions
- Processing temperature (ambient and substrate) between +5°C and +40°C.
- Seal-it® Apply 510 CLEANER evenly to the substrate with a clean cloth, then immediately use a lint-free clean cloth to remove the applied Seal-it® Rub out 510 Cleaner in one same direction until the substrate is completely dry, after which the sealant, adhesive, paint, coating and/or varnish can be applied.
- Extracts heat from substrate by evaporation, cooling it. This may cause condensation on the treated substrate. We recommend waiting for approx. 10 minutes and then applying sealant and/or adhesive.
