Description
PTFE- rod is excellent resistant to most chemicals and solvents and can work at high and low temperatures - up to 260°C . PTFE rods also have a very low coefficient of friction and are often used in food contact applications. Rods made of PTFE offer good thermal stability and have good electrical properties, but are not suitable for wear applications and are difficult to bond.
Advantages:
- Extremely high chemical resistance
- Wide temperature range - maximum operating temperature 260°C
- Low friction and low adhesion
- Resistant to radiation
- Excellent dielectric performance
Comment
The largest PTFE rods supplied have a dimensional tolerance of ±5 mm. For applications requiring exact diameter and roundness, we recommend a ground or calibrated rod. This PTFE rod is machined after extrusion to ensure the desired diameter and roundness.
applications :
Slide bearings, insulators and rollers, gaskets.
