Acrifix 192 acrylic adhesive can be used to bond acrylic sheets, Plexiglas tubes and Plexiglas blocks, among others. Here, you can count on a strong and durable adhesive bond. Some examples of projects where you can use this adhesive include model construction, display cases, furniture and light boxes. Due to the clear finish after complete curing, joints remain virtually invisible. This is particularly essential in aesthetic projects. Moreover, Acrifix 192 is resistant to water and yellowing due to UV light, making it also suitable in humid and sunny environments.

How do I use Acrifix 192 acrylic adhesive?

As we just told you, use this adhesive for bonding acrylic sheets. Roughening the sheet with sandpaper with a grain of 230 to 320 can improve adhesion on unprocessed surfaces. After preparation, it is important to keep the sheets to be bonded clean and dry. Apply a thin, even layer of Acrifix 192 to one of the boards. Then press the parts firmly together and hold them in this position for a short time until the glue starts to cure. Avoid shifting the pieces after they are joined, as this may reduce the strength of the joint.

The all-round adhesive provides an invisible glue joint and dries by itself. Another way to reduce the drying time of Acrifix 192 acrylic adhesive is to use UV light to cure it with this. Acrylic adhesive usually has a drying time of about 3 hours. For best results, let the adhesive bond cure for at least 24 hours, even if the initial curing time is shorter. This ensures maximum bond strength and durability of the joint.
